Practical information

The 2019 ISMMS conference will be hosted in Nantes, 30 km away from the town of Clisson, where the 14th edition of the Hellfest Open Air Festival will be taking place, right after the conference, on the weekend of 21-23 June. Access to the conference is free of charge (within the limits of available seats)

The event will be hosted by le lieu unique, national center for contemporary arts and music venue in Nantes. Le lieu unique is a space of artistic exploration and a convivial cultural ferment that mixes genres, cultures and audiences. Its credo : the spirit of discovery in different fields of art (visual arts, theater, dance, circus, music, literature, humanities, architecture, comics, art taste, etc..).

How to get to le lieu unique?

Quai Ferdinand-Favre,
44000 Nantes, France

  • BusWay – Line 4, stop: Duchesse Anne
  • Bus – Line C2 – C3, stop: Lieu Unique
  • Tramway – Line 1, stop: Duchesse Anne

We recommend you book your accommodation as soon as possible, as Nantes is a busy town in June, especially since it becomes the French capital of metal. Indeed, the Hellfest’s site in Clisson is only about 50 miles/30-minutes (by train) away.

Below is a map of the hotels located near the Lieu Unique. However, it is possible to stay in hotels further away, knowing that the city of Nantes (and the Lieu Unique) are very well served by public transport (tramway, bus, bicycle…).
